This is a unique and beautiful paper and bamboo wood fan with the Moral Compass design. Young girls and women were encouraged to be honest, courteous, modest, respectful, virtuous, patient, charitable, diligent, and hard working. The moral compass was a popular way of conveying this message. The compass represented a set of boundaries or moral standards. Young women were reminded to stay within the bounds of the moral compass and now allow others to lead them astray.
It measures 8-1/4 inches long.
