I found these lovely silver or gold plate over copper and clear crystal star brooches and fell in love with them. It is chock full of rhinestones and the larger version also has a small loop on the back to wear on a ribbon. The large measures 2-1/4 inches tall and wide, the small measures 1-3/4 inches tall and wide. So many uses for this - wear on a hat, in the hair, on a gown, on a lapel, as part of a stomacher, on a coat, cloak - it is endless.
It has a great price too!
Portrait inspiration is Empress Sissy but this style was in existence far before.
