This ring is super cool. I really love turtles, and could not resist this one! The head and arms move, but not significantly that they would bother your finger.
This is a reproduction turtle ring. So cute for those who love turtles! This one is sterling silver with about a 3mm band with the turtle being 3/4 inches long by 1/2 inch wide. It does not overwhelm the finger or sit really high up, and fits comfortably. It is polished but left oxidized in the turtle to give depth. It is a truly awesome piece and can be worn everyday.
In the mid-to late 19th century, novelties in jewelry were related to innovations in science, industry, and leisure activities. We see insects, fishing, cycling, and other new designs. There were also fads then as well as today which included jewelry that came from around the world. This turtle ring represents one of those fads.
