This listing is for a wonderful exact reproduction Victorian sewing kit or etui. It is an item that I purchased in England in the 1990's while living overseas. It has been sitting, pristine, since then. I have decided to let it go to someone who wants to cherish it or even use it! It was made after an original in the Geffrye Museum in London. It would be perfect in someone's Victorian living room or during a living history event. I would change the scissors inside to all metal and a few other of the items if using it for living history.

The box's lid pulls open and the outside and inside fall open to expose all of the items inside. A genius way in which to hold all of the things you need - including nail clipper and nail files. One side is empty for you to add what you wish.

It comes with all contents in the photo which include scissors, seam ripper, tape measure, tweezers, three nail files, nail clippers, two boards of thread, button, threader, safety pins, and a needle case with needles. There is even a paper inside that tells you the provenance as to why Ann Chapman made it. I do not know if she is still in business. I do have her business card with the box and that will also be included. It has lived in a plastic box, and it will come in that to protect it. The lid is embroidered.

I can even include 20 straight pins that are 1 inch each if interested.
