These earrings are timeless! They are made with gold-filled tulip leverbacks with vintage glass turquoise color cameos with a lovely gold braid surrounding facing ladies set in a gold lace plated setting. They measure 1-1/2 inches long by 1/2 inch wide and are very lightweight. Very limited stock.
Turquoise in the late 18th century was known as "turkey stone" or "Turkish stone" and was very popular set in gold. Very fashionable during the Jane Austen time period. Can be worn for late 18th century up to today.
