I found these wonderful gold plated over copper branch and red rhinestone pieces and turned them into a brooch! They reminded me of the hair sprigs worn by ladies in the 18th century with garnets. These can be worn in the hair or on a gown, closing a kerchief or scarf, on a dress, on a lapel, a hat, wherever you want!
You get one (1) brooch. They measure just shy of 2-3/4 inches high by 1-3/4 inches wide. I added a pin back that is vintage and made of brass so may tarnish.
My inspiration was from the garnet hair sprig that is in the George Washington Mount Vernon's collections. This is obviously a historically inspired piece. You can read about my time in the collections and when I was able to see the original hair sprig at this link -
