This listing is a collaboration with Museum Reproductions! I am in love with their creations, but will change a few of the elements to make them more historically accurate.
This pair of earrings were inspired by a pendant created in 1920-33 made of diamonds, pearls, sapphires in 14kt gold.
The earrings pictured are made with antiqued gold brass, unfoiled Swarovski Crystals, and faux pearls. They are 30mm in diameter.
The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art The Age of Hollywood Glamour was in full swing, but after the stock market crash, economical jewelry reductions were necessary, as more women were wearing more jewelry, and trends had shifted from simple to extravagant. Sparkling, rich, looking jewelry was an easy way to make a simple dress look like a million dollars. The Rosette pendant, c. 1920-33 was made with a diamond, pearls, sapphires, 14 K gold made by jeweler Kohn & Co., New Jersey (American) Arts and Crafts Movement/Edwardian.
