My inspiration for these earrings are from "A Lady of the Shure Family" portrait located in the Maryland Historical Society in Baltimore. I saw the jewelry she had on, and wanted to recreate it! The shape is just so beautiful and unusual.
I made two styles - one with a drop and one without. These are made in different color crystals with gold-filled earwires. Some are made with a clear CZ earwire. In the drop down the "With Topaz No Drop" are the version that are most like the portrait.
These measure a little over 2 inches long and are 3/4 inch at the widest part for those with the teardrops. Those without are only 1-1/4 inch long by 3/4 inch wide. Definite statement earrings that can literally be worn in any century and with anything.
They can be changed to a leverback or if you do not have pierced ears, to a clip-on/screw back earring. Just make that note at checkout.
They come with the rubber backs to secure them in place as do all of my earrings.
