This listing offers three style shagreen boxes that are originals from the 18th century. This comes from the Hettinger collection. These are for the collector who studies the past or just wants to own a piece of history. These boxes are rare and usually stay in a collection forever...

The first is a really awesome spoon box in green on the outside and green velvet on the inside. It still has the hooks and they work to close it. It measures 7 inches long. I believe this one is made of sharksin. It is in excellent condition.

The second is a fan box in black in a dark leather. It measures 7 inches long, and has some slight damage to the top lid. It is kind of cool to see the inside and what it is made of! A type of cardboard with a leather covering with decoration. For some reason it gives me the impression that someone from the church had this box with the cross detail on it.

The third box is square with cut corners. It looks to have had some water damage to the inside. It could have held buckles or whatever. The hooks are intact and close it fine. It has a faded red velvet lined bottom and silk lining to the lid. The outside is worn and has some gold detail to it.

These are super amazing.
