Found these 6mm natural gemstone jet beads to make a necklace for display in a museum, and decided to also make a few things for the shop. I have necklaces, a bracelet, and earrings available.
The drop down will provide the length of the necklaces, I have them in a silver or gold-plated braid style clasp. The earrings have gold-filled or sterling silver earwires, are double drops (two beads) and measure 1/2 inches long.
Jet is very lightweight. It has been used in jewelry for centuries. In the middle ages, they used jet beads in rosaries to ward off evil spirits, in the 18th and 19th centuries it was used for mourning jewelry.
