This small vintage brass cross measures 1-1/4 inches by 3/4 inch and very thin - less than 1mm. It is plain and looks the same on both sides. Perfect on a ribbon or chain - or even to add as a chatelaine charm or pendant. They are not all perfect. Some have a patina, and others may have a mark on them that can polish out. I'm leaving them for the new owner to wear as they desire.
This type of cross looks to be an orthodox Christian cross in the plain fashion. You see this style in ancient crosses. I'm not expert on them, but love this little simple style.
I have added a ring onto these and they are ready to hang!
Painting is by Agnolo di Domenico del Mazziere of a Young Woman dated 1485 to 1490.
