These are gorgeous buckles or slides for ribbon or a special sash that can be worn for a modern day twist to a dress, for weddings, proms, dates, cleaning around the house or your historical needs!
Wouldn't this look great with one of those wonderful Regency ensembles, Cosplay gowns, or even a Georgian outfit that you made and want to show off? I've seen these in various outfits starting in the late 1770's up into the Victorian period. This can also be added to a hat!! Many options in which to use it!
The square rhinestone buckle measures 1-5/8 inches long by 1-1/8 inches wide. The ribbon width for this buckle is 3/4 inches wide. It is a vintage gold tone, and since it is vintage, I do not know the base metal but assume it is pewter. This does not come with ribbon, but I may have some in my stash (limited colors). Just convo me if you need some and I will see if I have it.
Portrait inspiration is from Lady in Fashionable Clothing, artist unknown, c 1785, Tansey Miniature Collection, and Wilhelmina Jacoba van Pembroek by Charles Howard Hodges, circa 1820
