Cameos have been around since the 1st Century B.C. They came in and out of favor in the fashions as did clothing over the centuries. They can be worn in any time period as an old or new heirloom.
These are new bases and new resin cameos set horizontally! They would be perfect on a coat, suit, dress, gown, or hat. I've made them with coral, black, or blue neoclassical scenes that were very popular during the earlier centuries - including the 18th and early to mid 19th. These can actually be worn in any century!
They measure 1-3/4 inches wide by 1-1/4 inches high. Made in antiqued silver or gold probably over copper. Limited stock, but if multiples are needed, please convo me as I may be able to make them.
Portrait inspiration is Lady Sophia Burdett by Sir Thomas Lawrence as you can see the horizontal brooch at the top of her gown.
