This listing is for some really lovely crystal star combs and bobby pins in gold or silver plate.
I personally wear modern combs in my hair with decoration on them during my living history events - you cannot usually see the comb part of it and they keep my hair up nicely. They come in a silver or gold-plated version.
These are inspired by the stars worn by Empress Elisabeth of Austria by Franz Xaver Winterhalter, 1865 as shown in this listing. The wonderful thing about Empress Sissy's hair is that it was all hers. Her hair was so long it took an entire day to wash and dry. You can see it is pulled up and braided around her head. SO beautiful! Her story is tragic, but I fell in love with her when I went to Austria in the 1990's.
Your purchase is for one (1) comb or bobby pin unless you order more than one. They combs measure 2-1/4 inches long by 1-1/2 inches wide, and the bobby pins are 3 inches long with the large star 1-1/4 inche wide, small star 3/4 inches wide, and the three star is 1 inche wide.
