These girandole earrings are exact reproductions of a pair that I own (see last photo of the center earring). Finally there is an earring made like some in the time period! These actually opens up away from the main part of the earring and is inserted through the back of your ear. It then closes in the front with a little snap. They are not heavy and they close very securely. They can take adjusting to opening up and closing, but is learned quickly. The best way to open is to just use your nail to pull it backwards. These are wonderful for a museum display as well.

I have these in several plating options all over copper and have clear rhinestones. They are a small girandole that can be worn for day or evening wear.

They measure just shy of 1-1/2 inches long and are 3/4 inches at the widest point. They have closed backs. The wire that opens in the back is thicker than traditional earwires on the market. So if you have really small hole piercing, they may be difficult to insert. Most do not have any issues.
