This listing is for a unique gold-plated earwire with a horizontal turquoise colored glass earring. The blue cabochon is just a beautiful color. It is gold plated possibly over copper.
It measures 1-1/2 inches long by 3/4 inches wide. When I chose these earrings to offer in my shop, the inspiration came from the shape seen in ancient or Roman jewelry. But, I also see it come back in Regency or Federalist styles in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. A beautiful turquoise color in gold was popular then. These can be worn everyday as well.
