These are so Rococo! The center area has a flower and shell which is made of brass. I have hung them from a a gold-filled earwire and added small vintage glass pearls. They measure 2-1/8 inches long by 1/2 inches wide. They are perfect little reproduction earrings done after a portraits of the 18th and 19th centuries!
They are amazingly lightweight, and would look great with modern or historical clothing. I can see them with a lovely gown, a suit for work, an 18th Century gown, wedding gown, or wear to a concert - either playing an instrument or just as part of the audience - or for a dance, or prom.
These can be changed to a clip-on/screwback if you do not have pierced ears.
