This diadem/comb is historically inspired and can be worn in an updo or French knot. It is lovely with glass pearls and clear crystals on the top rows emulating those you see in portraits and prints. It would look perfect in an updo for a Regency impression, wedding, prom, special occasion or even everyday for a little pop of sparkle or interest.
These are made with metal, gold-plate probably over copper as they have a nice weight to them. The tines measure about 2-1/2" long with the full comb being 3 inches long by just short of 3 inches wide at the top. They are priced just right.
I do not have a wig in which to show this comb off as I'd like. I have included an inspiration portrait from 1804 of Mary Nisbet, Countess Elgin by François Gerard National within the Galleries of Scotland.
