I have been asked to offer more sewing items, and decided that these lovely gold-plated over brass thimbles in sizes 0-6 (zero being the largest) would be a great offering. This traditional dressmakers' thimble in gold-plated brass and decorated with seed clusters, one of the classical thimble themes, is now in the shop! Notably, it is a model intended specifically for the hard-working hands in couture houses, reenactors, and living historians. This thimble is sent to you in a little special box.
Each thimble measures just over 3/4 inches (2 cm high), and the following sizes are measured using the diameter of the base of the thimble.
Size 0- 17 mm (3/4 inches)
Size 1- 16.5 mm
Size 2- 16.1 mm
Size 3- 15.7 mm
Size 4- 15.3 mm (5/16 inches)
Size 5- 14.9 mm
Size 6- 14.5 mm (5/8 inches)
They each taper up getting smaller to fit on different fingers, or to fit your finger size on the finger you want to wear it for.
