This is a lovely vintage belt, sash, or hat buckle. This one is tiny has a center bar to hold your sash/belt/ribbon securely. It is a matte silver and not plated, decorated on the front but not the back. I believe it is made from steel. It measures 1-1/8 inches wide by just shy of 3/4 inch long with the inside area at 3/8th inch wide.
This is reminiscent of those worn on a sash from the 1780's up into the Victorian times but you also see buckles on hats in the 16th and 17th centuries. This listing is for one (1) buckle.
