This is an exact reproduction of a stock buckle that I own that museums have dated 1775-1795 possibly because of the size of the collar of the shirts during that time. They can possibly be used on stocks worn after the turn of the century. I will have these in several colors. They are made of copper as the base metal, and plated with gold, silver, gunmetal, and are also antiqued in gold and silver. You get one (1) stock buckle.

My stock buckle is fairly similar to others on the market, but mine is more of an elongated oval shape with detail that looks like little “x” around the outside which, in the time, gave it decoration and imitated cut steel or marcasite. It is strong, but more delicate. There are four tabs or “buttons” and three prongs – the center has the simple bar and the ornamented one holds the tabs or “buttons.” It measures 2 inches tall by 1-1/8th inch wide. The prongs measure 5/16th inch so there is plenty to hold the fabric, and they are strong and sharp to pierce a fine linen or cotton. These may work on velvet stocks, but may not on thick leather or multiple layers of leather.
