The BELLE buckles were made after an original in my personal collection, and another of my most accurate buckles to date! They are mailed out in a special "K. Walters, Jeweler at the Sign of the Gray Horse" velvet bag.
These 18th Century shoe buckles are exact reproductions from an original that I own - yep just one that I was able to base these after and shown in the last photo.
Listed are the BELLE in a pink plated version. They are solid cast, plated metal that won't bend or break.
You will receive a pair (two). The buckles measure 2-1/4 inches long, 2-1/16th inches high, and will accommodate a leather or fabric strap (latchet) width of 1- 1/4 inches. They are easily attached and removed to accommodate shoes made by all different makers and these interchange with the tongue and chape with my CHARLOTTE shoe buckles - listed in all different colors in other listings.
The shoes shown are American Duchess Dunmore in green, Anacronicos in custom fabric, and Allures d'Atan in black. They also look amazing on shoes made by Kevin Garlick. Last photo is of the original shoe buckle these were based from.
