This is perfect for many different things, but the inspiration is a Portrait of A Lady, c.1780-89, by an Italian artist held in the Walters Art Museum. You can see the chain in the portrait that holds a miniature. What we cannot see is what is on the other side so I added a bow pin (brooch) so it the chain can secure on your clothing.
I have made an interpretation of the chain with a gold plate or silver plated - possibly over copper) bow pin (brooch) that measures an inch long - and added chain which is very lightweight. The overall chain measures about 20-1/8 inches long with the bow and swivel clip - the clip will hold the miniature. The chain should be pinned with the pin on the other side of your gown.
I also offer miniatures in the pendant area of my shop. This chain can also be worn for those doing a Civil War impression or for your watch.
